Playgrounds are important places for children, especially in urban environments, as living conditions are often cramped and open spaces are rare. For children, playgrounds primarily offer spaces for play and experimentation, where they can exercise in the fresh air, let off steam, be creative, and practice social interaction. For parents and grandparents, playgrounds offer oases for communication and a chance to "switch off" for a while.

In the brochure "Kinderspielplätze in Wiesbaden" (Children's Playgrounds in Wiesbaden), the city of Wiesbaden would like to introduce you to all 152 playgrounds in the Hessian state capital, sorted by district. Some particularly beautiful playgrounds – marked with a star – are described in more detail. As you leaf through the brochure, you will notice the great variety that is offered to young playground visitors in our city.

The popularity of Wiesbaden's playgrounds is also an incentive for me to work with the Parks Department to maintain and develop them in the best possible way. In the future, children's wishes will be taken into account on a regular basis when redesigning playgrounds, as was recently the case in the participation process at Luxemburgplatz.
