Wiesbaden Äpplerfest

Wiesbaden invites you to the Äpplerfest on Friday and Saturday, October 10 and 11, on Schlossplatz. For two days from 12 noon to 7 pm, everything revolves around the versatile, local and most consumed fruit.

Visitors can expect a variety of market stalls from local producers with special offers: for example, an apple variety tasting is offered and there are also delicious apple-related offers to try at the other stalls. There will be fresh cider and "Äppelwoi" to drink at the winery stands from the region. Many hands-on activities, talks and musical performances round off the program.

Apple pie competition

The popular apple pie competition will award a prize for the "tastiest Wiesbaden apple pie". If you would like to take part, please send an application by e-mail to projektpalastpromotionde by October 7 and you will receive further information.

Children's program

Hands-on activities and crafting fun for the youngest guests, such as making little insect hotels, chestnut animals and autumnal lanterns, invite them to get creative. The popular children's face painting and tattoos complete the offer on both days. Cider can be made by young and old at the festival.

Music performances

Entertainment on both days is provided by regional bands such as the "Männerquartett Nordend" and "Moosbach-Kehlchen" with hits and evergreens, as well as performances by "die Bergstreet Boys" and "S'Kappelsche".

Lectures on the subject of apples

The festival will also feature interesting presentations: nutritionist Dr. Reinhild Die Linke will give an informative talk on healthy eating and the superpower of apples. The Wiesbaden-based Heinz-Schenk-Foundation will present itself and the Hanau "ribbed museum" will provide information about its special place, which gives people a sense of home and identification thanks to the apple wine culture.

Sidra at the Äpplerfest

The Wiesbaden-San Sebastián partnership association will be serving "Sidra" - the "Äppler" from the Basque Country - at stand number 12 in front of the state parliament on both days from 10 am to 5 pm. How does Sidra taste compared to cider? Definitely different.

The Äpplerfest is organized by Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH (WICM) on behalf of the city management.
