How does a tree fall, why do we need such large machines and what becomes of the trunk? In a demonstration with machines and foresters, we want to give young and old citizens an understanding of the work in the forest. Afterwards, a trunk can be delimbed with the chainsaw.
A tree is felled with our HSM, it is held out on site (tree species, length, diameter and numbered) and its further use is explained. Questions about tree biology are clarified, what it needs to grow and why exactly it was intended for felling. Forestry technology topics are discussed, how does a chainsaw work, why are the machine's tires so big, what does personal protective equipment mean, how is a rescue chain organized.
Children are very welcome to sit in the HSM. At the end there will be a delimbing game.
