March 17: Spearheads of memory
Cameroon was a German colony for over 30 years, and numerous objects in the collection remind us of this. The context in which they were acquired is the subject of a current research project, the results of which will be presented. How did the objects find their way into the collection? We trace their history, incorporating the voices and perspectives of the societies of origin in Cameroon. The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on responsibility in dealing with colonial heritage.

Elderly people in particular are the target of con artists who telephone them to ask them to hand over money and valuables or who gain access to their homes by posing as fake tradesmen.
The Senior Citizens' Advisory Council would like to intervene here to provide support: Marion Beste, a police-trained security advisor for senior citizens, is available to answer your questions and give you advice and tips. You will also find a sympathetic ear here if you have been victimized.
