Child day care - what is it?
Child day care is a family-oriented education, upbringing and childcare service that has proven its worth for children under the age of three. Daycare children have a permanent caregiver, the childminder. They coordinate the child's daily routines and habits with you as parents.
Childminders are checked and qualified. Child day care is recognized by law as an early childhood education service of equal importance in the implementation of the legal entitlement to a childcare place for children under the age of three.
For many children, day care is a favorite place to learn, play and laugh. Here they can discover their world in more detail. In small groups of up to a maximum of five children, they receive comprehensive and individual care. This is how day care works!
Childminders require a care permit from the public youth welfare organization in order to carry out their work. In Wiesbaden, this is the Office for Social Work. Childminders are prepared for their work in extensive qualification courses and receive ongoing training and support.
A special offer of child day care in Wiesbaden is the Kinderbrücke model. Childminders who work together in the Kinderbrücke offer reliable replacement models. In addition to individual support from the childminder, the children receive additional support in the weekly playgroup or in the mentor group of the crèche. Kinderbrücke childminders work in a network and are closely supervised by a pedagogical specialist. In the event of absence, a substitution system ensures continuity, commitment and care security. Kinderbrücke is run in cooperation with three municipal daycare centers and independent providers (EVIM and Der Kinderschutzbund OV Wiesbaden).
Child day care is offered by the Office for Social Work | Department of Day Care Centers and Child Day Care. Family-like day care and the crèche cost the same.
