World Children's Day in Wiesbaden
Strong Children—Strong Future! On September 20, the state capital of Wiesbaden will celebrate World Children’s Day with a big festival for children and families on Schlossplatz—featuring numerous free games and fun activities.
Every child has rights. At the World Children’s Day Festival, children, parents, and their friends can learn about and experience what those rights are and why they’re so important at various booths.
From 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., many organizations, institutions, and initiatives dedicated to children will be on site at Schlossplatz to provide information about children’s rights and services for families.
Children can participate in free art and creative activities, get their faces painted, or let off steam with various physical activities—whether at the playmobile or on the bouncy castles.
On the stage in front of City Hall, there will be a colorful program featuring dance, music, magic, and theater. Food will also be available on site.
The event is organized by the Youth Services Department of the Office of Social Work, in collaboration with numerous organizations, initiatives, and associations from Wiesbaden.
Approximately 4,500 children and adults attend the festival each year, which always takes place on a Sunday around September 20. All activities are free of charge.
