Our daycare center was opened in 1986 and is located directly on the edge of the forest at the end of the upper Platter Straße. The spacious, natural outdoor area and the prepared surroundings of our building offer a wide range of experiences for 100 children who are cared for and supported in their development. The forest is integrated into our work as a field for experiencing nature. Our concept is based on the principles of Montessori education. A well-considered room design and choice of materials in the group rooms has created an educational and learning environment in which children can develop independently according to their needs. With the "Hessian Movement Kindergarten" quality seal, our daycare center is regularly checked for comprehensive promotion of movement. Regular exercise programs, the further qualification of our specialists and exercise-friendly equipment ensure sustainable quality. Language development activities are regularly integrated into everyday life. Language-promoting materials are integrated into the group rooms and are used for language activities in everyday life. A library and our reading mentor complete the range of language development activities on offer. Three fresh meals are prepared daily in our kitchen. We use seasonal products from controlled organic cultivation, mainly from the region. The daycare center is regularly certified with the "Fit Kid" quality seal. The acclimatization process is individually tailored to the child. We are guided by the "Berlin settling-in model". Parents and guardians are important educational partners for us and receive support and advice from us. The "Kinderbrücke" project offers a supplementary educational program. It takes place once a week in the form of visits by the childminders with the children they look after in daycare in fixed sponsor groups at the daycare center.
