Language cafés

The language café is a supplement to school support for newly immigrated pupils from secondary level 1.

Language cafés are a supplement to school support for newly arrived immigrants at secondary level 1. The language cafés are offered by the Internationaler Bund (opens in a new tab) in cooperation with the Office for Immigration and Integration.

Pupils are initially taught in German as a second language classes (DaZ) and at some Wiesbaden schools also have the opportunity to attend the language café at their school. In line with the school-based support, the language café serves as a practice area for the German language skills acquired so far. A relaxed environment, professional guidance and real-life topics support the process of language acquisition.
