Wallau clasp
The Wallauer Spange is a connection currently being planned between Wiesbaden main station and the ICE high-speed line Cologne - Rhine/Main towards the south / Frankfurt Airport.
The commissioning of this line will significantly improve Wiesbaden's connection to Frankfurt Airport and the rail transport hub there. In addition, the Hessenexpress lines running there in future will also enable shorter travel times in the direction of Frankfurt main station and Darmstadt main station than the existing connections.
A new stop "Wallau/Delkenheim" is planned in the area of the state road 3017 near the Wallau highway junction. From there:
- Bus connections will provide an attractive transfer connection from the eastern suburbs of Wiesbaden and from the Main-Taunus district to the regional rail network.
- Bike+Ride and Park+Ride services to make it easier to switch from bike or car to train
Expected commissioning: 2028
Further information on the current planning status can be found at Wallauer Spange (opens in a new tab).
