Playoffs: Out in the semi-finals against RSV Lahn-Dill

In the first semifinal of the playoffs, the Rhinos faced off against RSV Lahn-Dill on the road. There, the Rhinos suffered a narrow 48–54 loss, even though the Wiesbaden team had previously won there in the regular season. The rematch was then set for Wiesbaden. The Rhinos edged out a 56–45 victory, setting the stage for the decisive third game in Wiesbaden. But less than 24 hours after the home win, the Rhinos’ luck ran out and they lost to RSV Lahn-Dill 52–62. That was the end of all hopes of reaching the German Championship final. Now the season is over, and in Wiesbaden, planning can begin for the new season, which starts in the fall.

Double matchday for the main round final

The regular season came to a close for the Rhinos with a doubleheader. In their penultimate game, the Wiesbaden wheelchair basketball team traveled to face the Cologne 99ers in a rescheduled match and secured a decisive 86–68 victory. In their final regular-season game, the Rhinos visited the dominant league leaders, the Thuringa Bulls, and suffered a 79–96 defeat. And yet, Wiesbaden finished in second place at the end of the regular season. Now it’s on to the playoffs.

Clear 77:60 home win against Trier

Next up is the final home game of the regular season against the Doneck Dolfins Trier. In the end, the Wiesbaden team didn’t let up and secured a clear 77–60 victory over the Dolphins. With this win, the Rhinos are ready for the final two away games of the regular season on the double-header day.

Clear 80:46 victory at home against Zwickau

The Rhinos’ next match was on Easter Saturday, a home game against RB Zwickau. The Wiesbaden team took the field as clear favorites against the Saxons and aimed to secure their strong position in the standings—currently second place ahead of RSV Lahn-Dill—with another victory. They achieved this impressively with an 80-46 win; the Wiesbaden men and women had the visitors under control at all times and thus secured a clear victory.
