Erbenheim Local History Museum
Right in the heart of Erbenheim, on the idyllic church square, a wedding venue with a special charm and fascinating history awaits you.
Located on the idyllic Erbenheim church square is a historic site that has been closely tied to life in the neighborhood for many generations. The building was originally constructed in 1834 as a village school and later served as the town hall, where not only administrative matters were handled but marriages were also officiated. Since its incorporation into Wiesbaden in 1928, it has served as an administrative center and remains a place where history comes alive to this day.
Today, it houses the local history museum, which was established with great dedication by the local association. On the first floor is a festive hall that also serves as the registry office’s wedding chapel, offering a very special, historic atmosphere for the most beautiful moment in life. Up to 40 seats are available for guests, and the room can accommodate up to 45 people in total. The hall is not wheelchair-accessible and can only be reached via stairs.
After the wedding ceremony, the area behind the building offers the opportunity for a brief outdoor reception, which is organized by the wedding party itself. Bar tables can be provided upon request and by prior arrangement. Please note that several weddings may take place at this special venue on the same day, which may result in brief overlaps. Out of respect for the historic building and its furnishings, scattering confetti or similar materials inside or outside the building is not permitted.
