The third Wiesbaden Biodiversity Weeks (#WieWoBiodiv) will take place from May 18 to June 14, 2026. 

The event series has already established itself over the past two years with a growing number of offerings, increasing participant numbers, and positive feedback. This year, a wide range of events will once again raise awareness of biodiversity in a variety of ways and at different locations, allowing participants to experience it firsthand. 

The occasion for WieWoBiodiv is the International Day of Biological Diversity on May 22. Due to the large number of participants and program items, the event period this year will extend over four weeks.

You too can help shape WieWoBiodiv. The Environmental Agency invites you to get involved with your club, initiative, or private commitment to 

•  raise awareness of biological diversity among the people of Wiesbaden,
• impart knowledge,
•  generate enthusiasm,
• strengthen commitment, and
• highlight opportunities for participation. 

During this period, you can offer excursions, tours, or exhibitions, hold lectures or film screenings, and invite people to participate in hands-on activities or other events. Once again, the diversity of the topic is welcome to be reflected in a creative variety of offerings.
