Reading: One man's dress - another man's sorrow

On Friday, October 24, at 6 p.m., the environmental advisory service invites you to a reading entitled "One man's dress - another man's sorrow" at the Umweltladen.

Actor Armin Nufer reads texts on the consequences of the global textile industry

Person with gray hair wears a shirt with a pattern of black and white diamonds, numbers and green figures.

One man's dress and another man's sorrow. About textile consumption, the disposal of old clothes, production conditions, climate impact and thirsty clothes. Plus excerpts from "The Emperor's New Clothes" and "Clothes make the man" as well as thoughts and aphorisms by Genazino, Thomas Bernhard and others.

Clothing is more than just fabric - it warms, decorates and says a lot about our personality. But what do we know about their origin? Where and under what conditions are our T-shirts, pants or jackets produced?

The reading is part of the "Stoff zum Nachdenken" exhibition at the Umweltladen Wiesbaden, which can be seen there until October 31.
