Food for thought
Until October 31, the Umweltladen is focusing on a topic that affects us all: our clothes. "Stoff zum Nachdenken" takes a look at the hidden production conditions and the consequences of (ultra) fast fashion, accompanied by clothes swaps, readings, style advice and an upcycling day.
Exhibition in the Umweltladen "Food for thought"
Clothing is more than just fabric - it warms, decorates and says a lot about our personality. But what do we know about their origin? Where and under what conditions are our T-shirts, pants or jackets produced? How can we distinguish between guaranteed environmental standards and greenwashing? And what do we do with discarded clothing?
The exhibition provides answers - in a clear and solution-oriented way. It shows how we can make more conscious choices when shopping, wear clothes for longer and look after them properly. Tips on repairing, swapping and passing on make you want to break new ground - for more sustainability in your closet.
Swapping instead of buying
Why buy new when you can swap? As part of the exhibition, the environmental advice service is inviting people to take part in regular clothes swaps.
Handicraft utensils can be swapped until October 24 - in other words, everything you need to make, repair and spice up your clothes.
