The bicycle data dashboard is a key tool for a smart city in Wiesbaden: It creates transparency, supports data-driven decision-making, and promotes sustainable mobility. By visualizing bicycle data in the context of other mobility and environmental data (e.g., car traffic, air quality…), long-term correlations can be identified and targeted control measures developed—such as creating a “green wave” on bike paths or optimizing traffic flows. In this way, it makes a significant contribution to efficient, citizen-centered, and sustainable urban development.

The dashboard, which is to be continuously expanded, is the result of cross-departmental and inter-agency collaboration.
