Serious traffic accident in Wiesbaden-Biebrich

There was a serious traffic accident today in Wiesbaden-Biebrich in which three people were seriously injured.

At around 3:08 p.m. today, Tuesday, the Wiesbaden Fire Department's HLF 2 was called to Glarusstraße for an advance assistance operation. On the way to the scene, the call was raised to a traffic accident with three casualties and additional rescue equipment was dispatched to the scene. These included three RTWs, three NEFs, a KTW, the rescue service operations control centre and the ELW from fire station 2 in Kastel. The HLF and KTW crews arriving at the same time found a head-on collision between a Mercedes Sprinter and a Mercedes A Class. Both vehicles were severely deformed and vehicle parts were scattered over several meters in both lanes. The first responders, who reacted very well, had already freed the driver of the Sprinter from the vehicle and started with lay resuscitation. The other two occupants were seriously injured but fortunately not trapped in their vehicle. The HLF and the ambulance crew relieved the first aiders during the ongoing resuscitation. The police are still at the scene to clarify the circumstances of the accident. The driver of the Sprinter was taken to a Wiesbaden hospital while resuscitation was ongoing. The two other patients were also taken to Wiesbaden hospitals for further treatment. The exemplary behaviour of the first responders, who assessed the situation very well and immediately began resuscitation, should be emphasized
