Traffic restrictions on Biebricher Allee

From Monday, April 7, there will be traffic restrictions on Biebricher Allee at Weihergasse and Höchster Straße in Biebrich.

In order to upgrade the existing water network structure and meet the increasing demand for drinking water in the greater Biebrich area, further civil engineering work will be necessary in Biebricher Allee, which will also require a crossing of Biebricher Allee during the Easter vacations.

From Monday, April 7, Biebricher Allee will be narrowed at the Höchster junction so that only one lane will be available in the direction of the city center. The southbound bus lane will also be closed. Two lanes will be available for motorized traffic in the southbound direction. The civil engineering work to cross Biebricher Allee will only be carried out during the Hessian Easter vacations. From Tuesday, April 22, until around mid-May 2025, the longitudinal trench between Weihergasse and Biebricher Allee house number 185 will be constructed. Two southbound lanes will be available here during the construction period.

Pedestrians will be guided safely across Biebricher Allee outside the construction area of Biebricher Allee by moving the pedestrian protection system. The city asks for your understanding for the traffic obstructions associated with the work.

There are more than 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map with selected measures is available at wiesbaden.de/baustellen. ESWE Verkehr provides information on bus detour at eswe-verkehr.de.
