Spring festival takes place from April 25 to 28 on the former REAL site

This year's spring festival will take place from Friday, April 25 to Monday, April 28 on the former Real site on Mainzer Straße.

This year, the spring festival welcomes visitors to the Mainzer Straße site with a total of 48 rides, culinary delights and fun and games on an area of around 10,000 square meters.

"The Spring Festival is the first public festival in Wiesbaden this year and is popular with visitors of all ages. I am therefore all the more pleased that we have succeeded in finding an alternative to Elsässer Platz for the organization of this year's festival in a cooperative partnership," explains Mayor and Head of Economic Affairs Christine Hinninger. "The Showmen's Association has helped with the preparation of the area in recent weeks and months and thus made a significant contribution to the organization of the event. A big thank you for that."

Werner Laux, 1st Chairman of Schaustellerverband Wiesbaden e.V., also thanks all those involved for their commitment and the opportunity to draw attention to this year's area in advance, for example during the Easter market: "I am very pleased that we have found a suitable alternative location for the Wiesbaden Spring Festival 2025 in the Real parking lot in Mainzer Straße."

In addition to several carousels, fast-paced rides such as the "Hollywood Star", "Swing Time", "Steinker's Königs Rad'l" and the "Beachmonster Polyp" provide breathtakingly fast rides; the "Jumping Kids" bungee facility is responsible for thrills. For the little guests of the spring festival, there is a children's train and a children's carousel. Bumper cars, dart throwing, duck fishing and a lucky raffle are also on the program. Visitors can look forward to a total of 17 amusement rides. A further 20 stands with goods for sale and culinary delights complete the offer. In addition to hearty and spicy dishes such as barbecue specialties, homemade burgers and potato twisters as well as vegan specialties, there will also be crêpes, waffles, ice cream, chocolate fruits and cotton candy - everything that belongs at a traditional folk festival.

The official opening followed by a tour of the spring festival with the showmen's association, representatives of the local council and the organizing Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH will take place on Friday, 25 April at 2 pm at the Laux bumper car.

The spring festival is open on Friday, Saturday and Monday from 12 noon to 11 pm and on Sunday from 2 pm to 11 pm. Monday is family day with individual discounted offers.

Travel by public transport is recommended. The site is around ten minutes' walk from the main train station. The bus stop "Welfenstraße" at the festival grounds can be reached by bus lines 3, 6, 33, 34, 49. ESWE Verkehr will again be offering the practical event ticket on all festival days. It costs 5.20 euros for adults (children pay 3 euros) and entitles the holder to a return journey on local public transport in the entire 6500 fare zone (Wiesbaden, Mainz and surrounding area) on the same day. The following parking lots are located in the vicinity: at the Brita Arena (P1 - P3), at the Helmut-Schön-Sportpark, at Salzbachaue/Gartenfeldstraße (parking is subject to availability and may be subject to a fee).

As the Elsässer Platz is no longer available due to the redesign, an alternative location had to be found. The realization of the festival this year is made possible by the friendly support of the investor of the Real site, BRAWO RE Property Management Braunschweig GmbH, and the commitment of Wiesbadener Congress und Marketing GmbH as well as several authorities. The use of the site as an event area requires many factors, such as a sufficient supply of electricity and water as well as space for logistical areas (including waste disposal, toilet facilities and storage space for suppliers). Legal aspects such as noise emissions and safety must also be taken into account. The examination of possible locations for the next few years is still ongoing.
