After the electoral office, as the office of the district returning officer, had checked all 247 election records of the electoral boards for correctness and completeness, Stefan Krebs, as the district returning officer, presented all documents to the electoral committee. The district electoral committee inspected the minutes and the compilation of the final results by constituency and postal voting district; it made a few corrections and established the final result.

The final result for Bundestag constituency 178 Wiesbaden was determined by the electoral committee as follows: eligible voters 186,038 voters 148,215; 79.7 percent
