Play containers now in the Bergkirchen district

The overseas container, which has been converted into a play area and was a hit with children and parents on Schlossplatz in the summer, has now been installed on Lehrplatz in the Bergkirchen district.

It is expected to remain there until the fall of 2025. The mobile play area was developed by the Parks Department and is intended to sustainably improve the quality of life on the square.

"The play container on Schlossplatz has shown how public spaces can be revitalized through creative and flexible offers. Now the young residents of the Bergkirchen district are benefiting from this successful concept and I hope the parents enjoy it too," says Mayor and Head of Green Spaces Christiane Hinninger.

The experience gained at the training site will be carefully evaluated over the coming period. The aim is to find out what potential the square offers for sustainable further development.

The project is being made possible by funds from the "Sustainable inner cities and centers" (ZIZ) funding program, which supports local authorities in the development of innovative concepts.
