Call for funding for cultural education in schools

The state capital of Wiesbaden has provided funding for cultural education projects in schools for the coming school semester 2025/2026.

Schools can now apply with project ideas via the municipal application portal "Fundgarden" https://kulturfoerderantraege-wiesbaden.fund.garden/. The application deadline is Sunday, June 1. An expert jury will decide on the award in June 2025.

Funding is available for projects that are planned and realized in cooperation between a Wiesbaden school (all grades and school types) and a cultural institution, a cultural association or independent artists. The spectrum of possible project ideas ranges from dance, music and media formats to theater and art workshops. Combinations of these disciplines or other creative and artistic ideas are also conceivable.

It is important to note that the schools do not purchase ready-made formats, but that the school and cultural partner coordinate the project idea together with the pupils. The projects can take place as part of regular lessons or build on them, but should still have innovative and new approaches. Follow-up funding for the project is possible.

The short, medium or long-term projects can be designed as workshops, project weeks, working groups or excursions, for example. The aim of the funding is to enable children and young people to actively participate in cultural and artistic topics.

Applications for smaller projects with a budget of up to 800 euros can be submitted at any time using the corresponding application form on the digital application portal.

Further information and the funding guidelines can be found at https://www.wiesbaden.de/kultur/kulturelle-bildung-teilhabe/kulturelle-bildung-an-schulen-2023.php# (opens in a new tab).
