Closure of the left turn in New-York-Straße to the B455

The turn-off at the intersection of the B455 and New-York-Straße to the B455 towards the city center in Wiesbaden will be fully closed - from Wednesday, May 7, until probably Wednesday, May 14. The reason for this is the construction of a barrier-free footpath and cycle path at the junction of the B455 and New-York-Straße.

The closure also affects bicycle traffic. Pedestrians can use the usual routes. The detour route due to the full closure will be via Berliner Straße/Siegfriedring to the B455 according to the traffic concept. The city asks for your understanding for the traffic obstructions associated with the work.

The second construction phase is expected to begin on Wednesday, May 14, until Wednesday, May 21: The full closure of the left turn in the direction of the B455 will be lifted again and the central island in New-York-Straße will be made barrier-free for pedestrians and cyclists.

From Wednesday, May 21 to Wednesday, June 4, a barrier-free ramp is expected to be created in the third construction section of the B455 out of town due to an existing height offset.

There are more than 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map with selected measures is available at wiesbaden.de/Baustellen. If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr will provide information on bus detour at eswe-verkehr.de.
