Daycare open day on May 15
On Thursday, May 15, the "Treffpunkt Kindertagespflege" and Wiesbaden childminders are inviting parents to an open day. Between 3.30 and 6.30 p.m., interested parents will have the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information, get advice and talk directly to experienced childminders at Bahnhofstraße 55-57.
In child day care, qualified childminders look after children aged 0 to 3 years in small, family-like groups with a maximum of five children. Child day care complements the diversity and individuality of early childhood education in Wiesbaden and is an equivalent offer to the crèche - also in terms of parental contributions, which are regulated in the municipal statutes. It contributes to the implementation of the legal entitlement to a childcare place for under-threes and offers reliable, everyday care.
Childminders see themselves as educational partners to parents. They support children individually and give them security, orientation and stability. Many children experience daycare as their own personal favorite place - a place to learn, play and laugh. They are accompanied by constant caregivers who support their development with professional competence and a lot of heart.
Childcare can be provided both full-time and part-time. The childminders receive training, support and professional advice from the team at the childminding department of the Office for Social Work as they carry out their varied tasks.
"Child day care is much more than just a childcare service - it is a reliable learning and living space for our youngest children. It strengthens bonds, creates trust and enables early education in a very personal setting. For many families, it is a real alternative to a crèche - individual, flexible and familiar. I am delighted that parents will be able to get to know the people who provide this form of care with a great deal of expertise and passion on 15 May," emphasizes Dr. Patricia Becher, Head of Social Affairs, who will also be on site between 3.30 and 4 pm.
A special model that will also be presented on May 15 is the "Kinderbrücke": childminders stand in for each other in the event of illness. Children and parents get to know the substitute at an early stage - this creates trust and ensures care even in emergencies.
Childminders make a valuable and indispensable contribution to education, care and upbringing - especially for children under the age of three. At the open day, experienced professionals provide practical insights into their everyday work and show how daycare actually works.
From July, there will also be regular information events for parents on child day care. Dates and further information can be found here (opens in a new tab)
It is not necessary to register for the open day.
The website also contains explanatory videos on child day care in Hesse, information on events and information on advice and allocation of places.
