On the occasion of the nationwide Europe Weeks, the state capital of Wiesbaden is presenting the traveling exhibition "EU on tour - The EU at a glance" from Monday, May 19, to Friday, May 23, in the Zukunftswerk, Luisenforum, Kirchgasse 6, 2nd floor at the overpass.
The exhibition explains key aspects of the European Union and its institutions on six roll-ups. It covers topics such as democracy in Europe, climate protection, migration and the European legislative process. A self-selectable, interactive supporting program will be available with the exhibition.
The main target groups are young people aged 15 and over, school classes from year 9 and all citizens who are interested in European topics and the EU.
"Europe is not just a geographical area - it is a common area for peace, participation and cohesion," explains Maral Koohestanian, Head of the European Department. "For young people in particular, it is crucial to experience the European Union as an area that can be shaped. With the exhibition, we are creating a place for education, interaction and dialog in order to protect Europe, develop it further and preserve it for future generations," says Koohestanian.
On Monday, May 19, Maral Koohestanian, Head of European Affairs, will open the exhibition at 1 pm.
Opening hours: May 19, 1 to 4 pm, and from May 20 to 23, from 9 am to 4 pm. Admission is free.
