Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Spring festival on the former Real site on Mainzer Straße

The spring festival will take place from Friday to Monday, April 10 to 13, on the former Real site in Mainzer Straße.

“As the first public festival in Wiesbaden this year, the traditional Spring Festival is once again taking place on the grounds of the former Real supermarket on Mainzer Straße,” says Mayor and Head of Economic Affairs Christiane Hinninger. “I would like to thank BRAWO RE Property Management Braunschweig GmbH for providing us with 10,000 square meters of space on the grounds.”

In total, visitors of all ages can look forward to nearly 50 booths. The wide variety of treats includes hearty, flavorful dishes such as grilled specialties, homemade burgers, and empanadas, as well as vegan options. There will also be crêpes, waffles, ice cream, and chocolate-covered fruit, among other treats. Rides such as bumper cars, the “Polyp,” and the “Freefall Tower”—and, of course, children’s carousels—will provide action-packed experiences. Darts, duck fishing, and game booths round out the colorful fair program.

The official opening will take place on Friday, April 10, at 2 p.m.

Hours:

It costs 5.20 euros for adults (children pay 3 euros) and entitles the holder to a round-trip on public transit throughout the entire 6500 fare zone (Wiesbaden, Mainz, and surrounding areas) on the same day of service. The following parking areas are available in the vicinity: at the Brita Arena (P1–P3), at the Helmut-Schön-Sportpark, and at Salzbachaue/Gartenfeldstraße (parking subject to availability and, where applicable, for a fee).
