Repair café with sewing station in the Umweltladen
The Repair Café on Tour will be back at the Umweltladen, Luisenstraße 19, on Saturday, April 25. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., experienced repairers will be using screwdrivers and soldering irons to get broken electrical appliances working again and repair children's toys.
You can also bring in clothing and repair it yourself with guidance. For minor damage such as missing buttons, small holes, or come-undone seams, assistance is available so that you can mend the garments yourself.
Items in need of repair can be dropped off at the environmental store by 11:30 a.m. and picked up again by 2:00 p.m.
The goal of the Repair Café is to extend the useful life of consumer goods and thereby conserve resources. Low-income households that cannot afford repairs or new appliances also benefit from this service.
