Local councils meet

The local advisory councils of Nordost, Frauenstein, Amöneburg, Kostheim, Auringen, Delkenheim, Südost, Kastel and Rheingauviertel/Hollerborn will be meeting next week. In the regular public meetings, citizens have the opportunity to ask questions before the agenda is taken up; there is no question time for citizens in the constituent meetings.

The Northeast District Council will meet on Monday, April 27, at 7:00 p.m. in Room 22 of City Hall, Schlossplatz 6. During the constituent meeting, the chairperson, vice-chairperson, and secretaries will be elected. Motions have been submitted regarding the items “Election glitch in postal voting district B99024” and “Signage for the Queer Center.” Additionally, the 2027 budget and financial resources will be discussed. 

The meeting of the Frauenstein Local Advisory Council will take place on Tuesday, April 28, at 6:00 p.m., in the meeting room of the fire station, Kirschblütenstraße 24. Among other things, the members will discuss the 2027 budget—measures proposed by the local advisory councils. 

The Amöneburg Local Advisory Board will hold its constituent meeting on Tuesday, April 28, at 6:30 p.m., at the Johann-Hinrich-Wichern School, Dyckerhoffstraße 22. During the constituent meeting, the chairperson, vice-chairperson, and secretaries will be elected. Other topics include “Municipal Heat Planning,” “WiMobil Service Area Expansion,” “Introduction of the Principal of the Johann-Hinrich-Wichern School,” and “Submissions for the 2027 Budget.” 

The members of the Kostheim Local Advisory Council will meet on Wednesday, April 29, at 6:30 p.m., in the meeting room of the Kastel/Kostheim Local Administration, St. Veiter Platz 1. Items on the agenda include “Structural Reinforcement of the Main Bridge – Implementation Proposal,” “Extension of the Closure of the Highway Bridge near Hochheim (A671),” and the appointment of representatives for the topics of neighborhood youth and integration. Faction motions have been submitted on topics including “Sidewalk along the ‘Am Rübenberg’ daycare center,” “Development of vacant properties in Mainz-Kostheim,” and “Structural condition of Kostheim’s Hauptstraße and associated noise pollution from truck traffic.” 

The Auringen Local Advisory Board will meet on Wednesday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m., at the Auringen Local Administration Office, Kirchenhügel 3. During the constituent meeting, the chairperson, vice-chairperson, and secretaries will be elected. In addition, the agenda items “Appointment of a District Youth Representative,” “Proposals for the 2027 Budget,” and the Local Advisory Board’s financial resources will be discussed. 

The Delkenheim Local Advisory Council will meet on Wednesday, April 29, at 7 p.m., at the Delkenheim Community Center, Münchener Straße 2. Topics for the special session include “Zoning Plan ‘Max Planck Park Expansion’,” “Land Use Plan Amendment for the ‘Max Planck Park Expansion’ Planning Area,” and “Moratorium on Changes within the Scope of the Preliminary Zoning Plan ‘Max Planck Park Expansion’.” 

The meeting of the Southeast Local Advisory Council will take place on Wednesday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m., at the Kleingärtnerverein Zwo Börn e.V., Zweibörnstraße 30. During the constituent meeting, the chairperson, vice-chairperson, and secretaries will be elected. Other topics include funding and the preparation of the 2027 budget. Faction motions address the items “Brunhildenstraße Playground – Installation of an Additional Swing Set” and “Application of a Zigzag Marking at the Hasengartenstraße/Welfenstraße Intersection.” 

The Kastel Local Advisory Board will hold its upcoming meeting on Thursday, April 30, at 6:00 p.m., in the meeting room of the Kastel/Kostheim Local Administration, St. Veiter Platz 1. During the constituent meeting, the chairperson, vice-chairperson, and secretaries will be elected. In addition, the agenda items “Municipal Heat Planning,” “Rent for the Kastel Senior Center effective immediately,” and the 2027 budget will be discussed. Motions from the political groups have been submitted regarding the items “Dissolution of the rescue dog unit at Fort Biehler – clarify the matter and enable a future solution” and “Traffic control on Mainzer Straße.”

The members of the Rheingauviertel/Hollerborn Local Advisory Council will meet on Thursday, April 30, at 7:00 p.m., in the event hall of the Hilde-Müller-Haus, Wallufer Platz 2. During the constituent meeting, the chairperson, vice-chairperson, and secretaries will be elected. Other topics include “Optimization of the Kurt-Schumacher-Ring/Hollerbornstraße Intersection,” “GWW’s Rheingauviertel Neighborhood Space Management,” and “Drafting of the 2027 Budget – Local Advisory Board Submissions.”
