The Committee on Women, Equality, Health, and Care will meet on Tuesday, August 18, at 5:00 p.m., at City Hall, Room 318, 3rd floor, Schlossplatz 6. The meeting of the Environmental Committee will take place on Tuesday, August 18, at 5:00 p.m., in City Hall, Room 22, ground floor, Schlossplatz 6. Among other topics, the members will discuss “Presentation of the work of the local cat protection association VKN e. V. / Implementation of the Cat Protection Ordinance,” “Wind Power in Wiesbaden,” “Municipal Heat Planning,” “Impact of the KW6 Ingelheimer Aue Gas-Fired Power Plant on Wiesbaden,” “Improving Cleanliness in Playgrounds and Public Spaces Through an Awareness and Information Campaign,” “Zero tolerance for littering and vandalism in public spaces,” “ELW’s experiences with hydrogen-powered and battery-electric commercial vehicles,” and “Canadian waterweed in Schierstein Harbor—establish a roundtable and develop sustainable measures.” 

The Audit Committee will meet on Wednesday, August 19, at 5:00 p.m., at City Hall, Room 318, 3rd floor, Schlossplatz 6. Topics to be discussed include “Procurement and Use of Pepper Spray Guns for the City Police,” “Special Audit of the Hiring Process and Internal Control Mechanisms at the Professional Fire Department,” “Political party funding reserves,” and “Paid online media partnerships, such as platform providers, multipliers, and influencers.” 

The members of the Social Affairs Committee will meet on Wednesday, August 19, at 5:00 p.m., at City Hall, Room 22, ground floor, Schlossplatz 6. Topics to be discussed include “Joining the European Coalition of Cities Against Racism (ECCAR),” “Rent control,” “Impact of the declining birth rate on the demand for childcare spots in Wiesbaden daycare centers,” “Adopting the Frankfurt model—effectively pursuing excessive rent increases in Wiesbaden,” “Missing Children and Adolescents—Developing Training and Information Programs in Collaboration with Law Enforcement,” “Digital Access for Seniors—Di@Lots:innen”: Needs and Coordination Office,” “German Language Courses and Child Care,” “Lease Agreements and Rent Costs within the Framework of the ‘Wiesbaden Policy,’” and “Improving Housing Conditions at the Salvation Army Men’s Shelter by Providing Single and Double Rooms in the Old Building.” 

The Committee on Schools, Culture, and Sister Cities will meet on Thursday, August 20, at 5:00 p.m., in City Hall, Room 301, 3rd floor, Schlossplatz 6. Among other topics, the members will discuss “Evaluating experiences with the neighborhood libraries’ holiday openings,” “Determining the Caligari’s funding needs,” “Recommendations for resolutions from the Cultural Advisory Board,” “Presentation of the Brückenschule concept,” “Renovation of the former custodian’s apartment at the Brückenschule for educational use,” “Drinking water systems in schools,” “Social-educational support in schools,” “Reducing bureaucracy and expediting repair work at Wiesbaden schools,” and “Inquiry regarding the city partnership with San Luis Potosí, Mexico.” 

The meeting of the Committee on Sports, Civic Participation, and Volunteer Work will take place on Thursday, August 20, at 5:00 p.m., in City Hall, Room 318, 3rd floor, Schlossplatz 6.
