Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Completion of the sewer construction project on Schiersteiner Straße

The construction project by ELW-Kanalbetriebe on Schiersteiner Straße was completed on Monday, August 31.

About 30 meters in front of the former construction site of the sewer utility near the intersection of Schiersteiner Straße and Saarstraße, near the Aartalbahn Bridge, work by ESWE-Versorgungs-AG is still underway. A water main had burst here. As part of the repairs, the defective service line in this area is also being replaced. The work will continue through Friday, September 11.

The state capital of Wiesbaden would like to thank all residents and road users for their understanding and patience during the construction work, which serves to improve and maintain the city’s infrastructure.

The city regularly renovates roads, pipes, and sewers. As a result, there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map showing selected projects is available at www.wiesbaden.de/baustellen. If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr provides information on detours at www.eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work is an investment in the future. Without these projects, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to even more severe traffic disruptions.
