Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

End of the season at Wiesbaden's outdoor pools

The Opelbad, Kallebad, and Kleinfeldchen outdoor pools will close on Monday, September 7.

The outdoor swimming season in Wiesbaden is coming to an end: The Opelbad, Kallebad, and Kleinfeldchen outdoor pools will close on Monday, September 7.

At the Kleinfeldchen outdoor and indoor pool, the regular indoor swimming season will begin again at the same time. Starting Monday, September 7, the indoor pool will once again be available to swimmers during regular opening hours.

For the Kallebad outdoor pool, there’s still one special highlight after the official end of the season: On Sunday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the popular dog swim will take place. On this day, the pool belongs exclusively to our four-legged friends—giving dogs one last chance to jump into the water to their heart’s content and bring the outdoor swimming season to a close in a special way.

Admission is 0.50 euros per foot and paw. Proceeds will benefit the Wiesbaden Animal Welfare Association. To participate, a valid rabies vaccination certificate, a dog tag, and proof of dog owner liability insurance are required. People are not permitted to swim on this day.
