Full closure of the level crossing in Gibber Straße in Biebrich
Due to the upcoming major renovation of the rail line between Troisdorf and Wiesbaden, the railroad crossing on Gibber Straße in Biebrich will be completely closed from Friday, July 24, until Thursday, November 19 (tentatively).
Pedestrians can use the underpass on Gibber Straße to reach Äppelallee. The closure also affects bicycle traffic. A detour route for vehicle traffic via Äppelallee, Biebricher Allee, and Tannhäuserstraße has been set up and is clearly marked.
A key focus of the DB InfraGo construction project is the railroad crossing on Gibber Straße. Specifically, the project involves the renovation of the station, including the platform facilities; the complete renovation of two retaining walls, each approximately 300 meters long, in the area of Höchster and Kasteler Straßen; the replacement of the railroad crossing barrier system, and the replacement of eight sets of switches, including signaling equipment. DB InfraGo asks all road users for their understanding regarding the unavoidable disruptions and assures them that all work will be carried out with the goal of limiting traffic restrictions to the absolute minimum.
