Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Online Surveys on Shaping the Digital Twin

Through two online surveys, the city is inviting residents to actively help shape the future development of the Digital Twin. The questions are: Which topics should be given greater consideration in the future in the Digital Twin of the state capital of Wiesbaden? And which places do citizens feel particularly define the cityscape?

The current surveys are intended to help align the Digital Twin even more closely with the needs of Wiesbaden’s residents. In about five minutes each, interested residents can indicate which topics they would like to see given greater consideration in the future and which places in Wiesbaden are particularly meaningful or significant to them. The results will be directly incorporated into the further development of the Digital Twin.

The survey “What topics would you like to see in the Digital Twin?” is available at wiesbadenwirkt.de/de/digitaler-zwilling/priorisierung (opens in a new tab). The survey on favorite places can be found at wiesbadenwirkt.de/de/digitaler-zwilling/lieblingsorte (opens in a new tab).

The Digital Twin is a cross-departmental joint project of the Smart City Division and the City Surveying Department within the Civil Engineering and Surveying Office. As a virtual 3D model of the city, it consolidates information on topics such as mobility, urban development, infrastructure, and the environment, and helps the administration, policymakers, and the public better understand developments and make more informed decisions. As a digital platform, the Digital Twin is constantly evolving and is never complete. Information about the Digital Twin is available at wiesbaden.de/rathaus/smart-city/digitaler-zwilling (opens in a new tab). The development team answers questions about the Digital Twin at zwillingwiesbadende.
