Central open day in child day care
On Tuesday, May 5, the "Treffpunkt Kindertagespflege" and Wiesbaden childminders ("Tagesmütter") cordially invite you to the big open day.

Many children experience child day care as their very own favorite place—a place to learn, play, and laugh. In child day care, qualified child day care providers (day mothers and day fathers) care for, educate, and nurture children aged 0 to 3 years in a family-like atmosphere and small groups of up to five children. They are accompanied by “their childminder” as a consistent primary caregiver. Childcare providers support the development of their children with heart and great professional expertise. They nurture children individually and provide them with security, guidance, and stability.
“Child day care thrives on the dedication of the child care providers. They support children during a particularly sensitive phase of life and create reliable care structures for many families,” said Dr. Patricia Becher.
Parents pay the same fees as for a daycare center spot. Child daycare is an equivalent alternative to daycare centers. It helps fulfill the legal right to a care spot for children under three and offers reliable, practical, and flexible care.
A special Wiesbaden model, which will also be presented on Tuesday, May 5, is the “Kinderbrücke”: In this program, child care providers cover for one another in case of illness. Children and parents get to know the substitute childminder early on—this builds trust and ensures reliable care. In carrying out their diverse tasks, the childminders are trained, supported, and provided with professional guidance by the team at the Child Day Care Center within the Office of Social Work.
At the local, decentralized open house in Amöneburg, four child care providers will open their doors on Saturday, May 9, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Biebricher Straße 18 in Amöneburg. They will demonstrate how child day care works in everyday life. Registration is required. All dates and further information are available at: www.wiesbaden.de/kindertagespflege (opens in a new tab).
