Concert evening: piano music from three centuries

With a varied program, students of the Wiesbaden Music Academy, class of Prof. Johannes Möller, invite you to a piano recital on Thursday, May 21, at 7 pm at the Kulturforum, Friedrichstraße 16.

The concert features works spanning three centuries of piano literature, covering a musical arc from the Viennese Classical period to 20th-century modernism.

The evening centers on the music of Ludwig van Beethoven. The program includes sonatas and sonata movements from all phases of the composer’s career, as well as the first movement of his famous Piano Concerto No. 5.

The program is complemented by Romantic works by Johannes Brahms, Frédéric Chopin, and Alexander Scriabin. In addition, the young pianists will also perform 20th-century compositions: music by Frank Bridge, Claude Debussy, Sergei Prokofiev, Béla Bartók, and Alberto Ginastera demonstrates the stylistic diversity and joy of sonic experimentation characteristic of this era.

The concert evening offers insights into the artistic work of the piano class and invites you on a varied journey through the history of piano music. Admission is free.
