Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Full closure of Roonstraße between Westendstraße and Bülowstraße

Roonstraße is expected to be fully closed in front of house number 19 until Friday, June 19. The reason for this is a burst water pipe, which is being repaired on behalf of ESWE Versorgungs AG.

The one-way traffic regulation on Scharnhorststraße, via Bülowstraße to Roonstraße, will be suspended for the duration of the construction work.

The closure also affects bicycle traffic. Pedestrians can use their usual routes. The city asks for your understanding regarding the traffic disruptions associated with the work.

The city regularly renovates roads, utility lines, and sewers. That is why there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map showing selected projects is available at wiesbaden.de/baustellen (opens in a new tab). If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr will provide information on detours at eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work is an investment in the future. Without these projects, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to more severe traffic disruptions.
