Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Elevator at Kransand Back in Service

The elevator at Kransand in Kastel is back in operation.

Due to vandalism, the elevator had to be taken out of service on May 17. The damage has now been repaired, and the elevator system was subsequently inspected and cleared for operation again.

The long downtime was due to delivery times for replacement parts of approximately twelve weeks. The accessible connection between the Kransand area on the banks of the Rhine and the bridgehead—which serves as a major transit hub for bus service—is now available again.
