Running

Easy routes or challenging tracks – the large green areas of the state capital are ideal terrain for begginers and experienced runners.

There is a wide selection of running trails to choose from, which lead, for instance, into the Wiesbaden Kurpark or the city woods. Those who prefer a more challenging route and who are not afraid of inclines, can try to conquer Wiesbaden’s local mountain, the Neroberg. A lot less steep, but no less appealing, is a run along the Rhine in the Wiesbaden city districts of Biebrich and Schierstein (around the harbour).

The other city districts offer routes for beginners and advanced joggers with interesting landscapes, too. Fitness fans who enjoy company when running can join one of the many runners meetings. Together with like-minded people, either classic jogging or Nordic Walking can be enjoyed.
