Payment advice and reminders

Reminders are issued for receivables for which the payment deadline has been exceeded and for which no payment has been received. The reminder fees and any late payment surcharges charged depend on the amount of the dunned receivables.

The reminder fees and any late payment penalties charged are based on the amount of the claim being pursued.

If payment and reminder have overlapped, the staff of the municipal payment advisory service are available for further information.

If a reminder is issued despite a SEPA core direct debit mandate having been issued, it is possible that the account-holding bank was unable to honor the mandate. If the debit cannot be made, the Cash and Tax Office will not make any further attempts to debit the account.

The account-holding banks will inform the payers about any unsuccessful debit attempts.

If no payment is received in response to the reminder, the claim will be enforced. To this end, the claim of the payer residing in Wiesbaden will be forwarded to the Internal Collection Department of the Cash and Tax Office for further processing.
