Health assistance is provided to people without health insurance who do not have the financial means to adequately insure themselves against the life risk of illness, as well as assistance with family planning, assistance with pregnancy and maternity and assistance with sterilization necessitated by illness. The scope of benefits corresponds to that of statutory health insurance.
