Children and young people have a right to support their development and education to become independent personalities. Parents who are unable to ensure the well-being of their children for various reasons are entitled to educational assistance. This can be provided or arranged in a variety of ways by the Office for Social Work.

One form of educational support is the placement of children in foster families. Committed families who can imagine taking a foster child into their household on a temporary or permanent basis can obtain further information and support.
