We recommend that you seek preliminary advice from the building inspectorate before submitting your application. Advice is provided regionally in the North, East and West teams. There you will receive general information on planning law and comprehensive details on, among other things

• whether and which approval procedures or notifications are required to realize a project,
• which formal conditions must be complied with when submitting an application,
• which building documents must be enclosed with a building application,
• which specialist bodies are involved in the approval process,
• which ancillary building permits and approvals the client must obtain on their own responsibility outside of the building supervisory procedure.
