The Building Inspection Department ensures that applicable regulations are followed in construction projects such as new construction, alterations, changes of use, and the maintenance of structures. Buildings and other structures must not pose any danger to life, health, or the environment.

As the building authority, we are an important part of the city administration and make a significant contribution to the safety and design of the city of Wiesbaden. • issues certificates of separation pursuant to the Condominium Act (WEG),
• conducts final inspections of temporary structures,
