Building supervision
The Building Inspection Department ensures that applicable regulations are followed in construction projects such as new construction, alterations, changes of use, and the maintenance of structures. Buildings and other structures must not pose any danger to life, health, or the environment.
As the building authority, we are an important part of the city administration and make a significant contribution to the safety and design of the city of Wiesbaden. We are competent and reliable partners for construction projects, mediate between different interests on an equal footing, and see ourselves as responsible decision-makers.
Our guiding principle is sustainable, safe, and proper urban and site development—including with regard to our architectural heritage. In doing so, we apply public law within the scope of our discretion in a targeted and pragmatic manner. In addition to legal requirements, the needs and satisfaction of our clients are at the center of our work.
As a modern, future-oriented, and service-oriented provider, we offer a comprehensive and expert range of services, both through personal contact and via our digital platform. We advise our clients promptly and with legal certainty, and support them in a spirit of partnership, with a focus on solutions and a sense of responsibility.
