InnoStartWi start-up grant
The InnoStartWi start-up grant supports founders in the implementation of their business idea with up to 1,000 euros per month for twelve months.
The application phase for InnoStartWI begins on February 27, 2026.
The scholarship
The scholarship is a non-repayable, personal grant to cover living expenses. It is aimed at founders with a connection to Wiesbaden—whether through residence, studies, existing business registration, or concrete plans to start a business in the city.
Support is provided for innovative startups and new ideas, products, or services from all industries.
Start-up grant in figures
Eligibility requirements
- Novel, innovative, and/or technology-oriented business ideas, products, processes, or services
- A concrete and mature business idea
- A viable business model with the goal of long-term success and headquarters in Wiesbaden
- At the time of application, the company must not have been established for more than three years after registration
Selection procedure
After a preliminary selection process, suitable applicants will be invited to present their business idea or start-up in person to a jury in Wiesbaden.
Evaluation criteria
- Personality and motivation of the founder or founding team
- Degree of innovation of the business idea
- Feasibility and economic potential
- Customer benefits and market demand
- Target market, industry, and competitive situation
- Number of existing or planned employees
- Sustainability for the Wiesbaden location, in particular long-term establishment
- Time and business plan: The start of business operations must – if not already done – be implemented in a realistic and comprehensible manner within the twelve-month funding period.
