The DGB is the umbrella organization for eight major labor unions in Germany.
The DGB represents the societal, economic, social, and cultural interests of workers. It advocates for the further democratization of the economy, the government, and society.
Sascha Schmidt, Chair of the Wiesbaden-Rheingau-Taunus District AssociationAs a representative of the DGB, I would like to represent the trade unions’ industrial policy interests on the Industrial Advisory Board. In this role, my primary focus is on safeguarding jobs and ensuring good working conditions. To this end, I consider the issues of securing a skilled workforce, professional development, and vocational training and continuing education to be particularly important.
