Department for Economy and Employment

The Department of Economic Affairs and Employment sees itself as a guide and the primary point of contact for businesses within the city administration.

The 20-member Business Services Team offers, among other things, location consulting, assistance with finding commercial space, and support with planning procedures. The Business Services & Start-ups Team provides information and connects founders with relevant contacts, as well as offering support to female and male founders. In the Initiatives & Networks team, we explore new areas and develop initiatives based on them, such as the Skilled Workers Initiative for Industry, the Skilled Trades Agenda, and career guidance programs. Location marketing ensures the visibility of our diverse activities.

As the coordinating body for the Industry Advisory Board, we—the city’s economic development agency, together with local businesses and other members—are committed to fostering a strong industrial hub, seeking synergies with other industries and startups, and working together to strengthen Wiesbaden as a business location.
