What drives you? What is your motto?
Creating solutions where others see problems.
What is your start-up about and what is special about it?
We set ourselves apart from the competition with clear structures, personal support for our employees and digital processes. From scheduling to communication with the authorities, many of our processes are efficient and transparent. In this way, we avoid absences, noticeably relieve the burden on families, schools and authorities - and ensure greater stability in children's everyday lives.
What are your first successes?
The first contract we signed with a local authority was a great success - after a long negotiation process. I'm particularly proud of the fact that our first school escorts are in long-term employment and that we have received a lot of positive feedback from parents and schools.
What is your career path?
I've always wanted to build something of my own that makes sense and brings real added value. Through family insights into the school system and my own experiences, the opportunity suddenly arose - and I seized it. AllAssist was born out of conviction and the right moment.
What was the trigger for you to start your own company?
The trigger was my own experience as a school companion: I experienced first-hand how many challenges there are in everyday life - especially for the employees. Many things were not well organized or communicated, even though there were better solutions. My family background in education and the knowledge of these gaps made me realize that I could really make a difference here. I simply seized the opportunity to build something of my own and have a positive influence.
Who advised you, who are your helpers and mentors?
Support came mainly from my personal environment - especially from family and friends. I was also able to gather a lot of knowledge about starting a business and the hurdles on the way online.
How did you experience the first few days as a founder?
The first few days were characterized by a thirst for action, as I had to do everything myself and put a lot of energy into setting up the company. At the same time, there was also uncertainty as to what the next hurdle would be after each step. Nevertheless, confidence and joy prevailed because a lot of things worked out and I made noticeable progress.
What was your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge was to create structures that worked while everything was running at the same time - from personnel to administration to cooperation with authorities.
How do you draw attention to your company? What is your best marketing idea?
As we work in the social sector, the authorities don't allow us to do traditional advertising. That's why we deliberately rely on word of mouth: through good, reliable services, our offers spread organizationally via parents, schools and offices.
How did you finance your start-up?
At the beginning, I financed the start-up with my own funds. Later, a development loan from WI Bank secured further development and provided financial planning security for growth.
What dream would you still like to realize?
I really want to hike The Pacific Crest Trail one day.
Please complete the following sentence: If I had more time, I would ...
... travel more.
What is your special tip: What would you recommend to founders?
Just take the step! Preparation is important, especially financially, but waiting too long only slows you down. Courage and getting started are crucial.
