Employment and career forecasts

Employment and occupational forecast regio pro - results up to 2026

Securing the current and future demand for skilled workers is one of the greatest challenges facing the economy and politics. Since 2010, regio pro has been providing medium-term forecasts on employment and occupational trends for the whole of Hesse, its administrative districts and counties or independent cities. Here is the forecast up to 2026.

Due to demographic developments, there will be a reduced supply of well-trained skilled workers in Hesse and its regions in the future. Many companies will have increasing problems filling vacancies. Against this background, regio pro is preparing forecasts for Hesse for

  • occupational groups
  • qualifications
  • Economic sectors
  • level of requirements

and can thus identify the areas in which there are likely to be bottlenecks in the supply of skilled workers to companies in the medium term. The forecasts are prepared for Hesse and for each individual district or independent city. Regio pro thus provides important regional forecast data and makes a significant contribution to securing a regional supply of skilled workers in the Hessian regions.

Regio pro is a project of the Institute for Economy, Labor and Culture (IWAK), funded by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Construction and the European Social Fund.
