The Wiesbaden Bach Festival - 50 years of the Wiesbaden Bach Festival - presents a varied program of 19 concerts until 18 January.
For 50 years, the "J. S. Bach-Gesellschaft Wiesbaden" has passionately dedicated itself to the work of the great Baroque composer by organizing the Wiesbaden Bach Festival every second year since 1975.
To mark its 50th anniversary in 2025, it will be celebrated as a major Bach festival with 19 concerts. The artistic management team consisting of Professor Eva Maria Pollerus and Professor Martin Lutz has put together a series of 19 concerts on the theme of "Bach and Dresden" with the most magnificent music by the great baroque composer and his fellow musicians at the Dresden court.

Andreas Scholl sings English lute songs
Countertenor Andreas Scholl is recognized worldwide for his exceptional voice and his fine interpretation of baroque music. For this evening, he has selected some of his favorite pieces, from English baroque songs to a cantata by Handel.
Together with his lute partner Edin Karamazov, Scholl presents the audience with a unique combination of different musical colors in the intimate setting of the baroque Christophorus Church with its brilliant acoustics.
