For married couple Tom and Louise, their long-standing marriage meant the world to them, which has now reached an impasse. With the help of therapy, they want to get closer to each other again and from now on meet in the pub opposite before every session. They try to find out what has been forgotten, repressed or concealed all these years. In emotional dialogs, they admit to hurts and neglect and try to regain trust with the help of open and respectful communication and mutual understanding. In the end, love remains.

The two acting stars bring the story of Tom and Louise to the stage in a fast-paced interplay full of dialog.

The stage set consisting of a table and nine chairs is constantly transformed into new islands of conversation, representing a period of nine weeks of coming to terms with the situation. Both actors argue, remain silent or hug each other, sing and dance through the evening - the softly sung "If I needed you", to which Jan Josef Liefers plays guitar, is touching.

Liefers and Loos play a completely normal married couple for over two hours with the incomparable humor of the author Hornby, including a look at likeable anti-heroes. The two actors have developed a production from a reading.
