The procedure

All 25 members of the fourth Wiesbaden Cultural Advisory Board will be newly appointed. Seven of them will be nominated by the Hessian State Theater Wiesbaden, the Wiesbaden Adult Education Center, the Hessian State Museum of Art and Nature, the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Foundation, as well as the City Museum on the Market Square (new) and the Rhein-Main University of Applied Sciences (new). Five more will be appointed by the political groups in the city council.

The remaining 13 seats will be elected by all Wiesbaden residents who have reached the age of 16 by May 26, 2026.

You can stand for election to the 2026 Cultural Advisory Board in the following categories:

  5. Cultural heritage, city history, and customs
  6. Literature
  7. Socioculture
  8. Cross-disciplinary seats

The nomination with the most votes from each field is selected for the advisory board. The six nominations with the most votes are selected from the non-specific fields.
